Paramount Airways to acquire new Aircraft

Paramount Airways, South India's leading airline will be inducting two more Embraer E-170 aircraft into its fleet in April / May this year taking its fleet strength to seven.

Started just two years ago as India's first all Business Class service airline, the company has done exceedingly well notching up a market share of 26% in the Southern sector.

With this addition, Paramount will start flying to Pune & Goa from Bangalore. In the South we will be adding additional sectors such as Trichy & Calicut. We will also be increasing the frequency from Bangalore connecting to Cochin, Trivandrum, Calicut & Hyderabad once the additional aircraft are in place.

Paramount Airways is also in talks with Boeing & Airbus for long haul international operations from 2011.

The unique business model of Paramount Airways offering All Business Class comfort at economy rates of other regular service airlines has contributed largely to the success of the airline.

With a fleet induction of seven aircraft in 2008, the airline would add on another 15 more by end 2009, taking the total fleet strength to 27. As planned earlier the airline will have a large fleet of 40 aircraft by end 2010 with maximum connectivity in South, West and Northern markets.

They have a state-of-the-art glass cockpit panels with full colour LCD displays and are completely of fly-by-wire system, offering excellent field performance and outstanding economics. Our aircraft are also equipped with ACARS (Airborne Communication). All Paramount Airway's aircrafts are equipped with Category II low visibility auto-land. This enables the aircraft to land automatically with the use of the Auto-Pilot in very low visibility and adverse conditions also.
